“Self-compassion takes its own time. It can't be rushed. The CDP program is a unique opportunity to let self-compassion live and breathe in your life until it resonates in every cell of your body.
The CDP teachers embody the practice themselves and they have a special ability to weave together a supportive community as they attend to each individual's self-compassion journey. I can't recommend the CDP program highly enough.”
— Chris Germer, Co-developer of the Mindful Self-Compassion program
The CDP is a vibrant and enriching MSC Graduates' program created in conjunction with the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion.
It is intended to support and deepen the personal practice of MSC graduates beyond the initial course itself and will allow them to embody their self-compassion skills over the longer term. Because this is a graduates’ course, the CDP will not explicitly just reteach MSC. Rather, the CDP is a deepening and elaboration of those practices and teachings during which participants re-commit to integrating and embodying self-compassion into daily life through regular, long-term practice. This more slowly paced, spiral learning approach allows participants to consciously embody, expand and deepen their learning.

"The real transformation that is possible with the practice of self-compassion comes as it is woven through our lives in deeper and deeper ways. The Community for Deepening Practice is a perfect vehicle for supporting people in this weaving process through dialogue, continued practice and extended exploration through new exercises designed to extend the learning of MSC. I highly recommend this program for anyone seeking to continue the process that began in MSC."
